RESEARCH, ARTS, NANOTECHNOLOGY

EUREKArt is an innovative educational project, aimed at promoting and expanding societal scientific knowledge. This groundbreaking initiative brings together the realms of visual and performing arts with cutting-edge research in nanotechnology, creating a multidisciplinary approach that generates broad social value. The project was co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme with Grant Agreement no: 2020-1-ES01-KA227-SCH-096093.

To maximize stakeholder engagement, our project partners have developed a range of open educational resources targeting both teachers and students. These resources are designed to facilitate and optimize key learning outcomes. Participants will have access to a comprehensive didactic guide encompassing sciences, plastic arts, and performing arts. Additionally, our materials include introduction flashcards on nanotechnology, step-by-step explanations of scientific experiments, dossiers showcasing artistic workshops, and an Art & Nano dictionary to enrich vocabulary in both disciplines.

The objectives of the EUREKArt project:

To encourage and develop students’ curiosity about the process that leads from creativity to culture creation.
To develop an interest in scientific knowledge with social value through an educational synergy between the visual and performing arts together with nanotechnology.
To develop innovative practices in the field of education, by combining performing and plastic arts with nanotechnology.
To provide young adults with the necessary tools and skills to find creative and innovative solutions that allow them to face unprecedented social risks and challenges.
To provide useful tools for teachers who want to use the scenic and plastic arts in their school teaching curriculum.

Project results:

An open educational resource for teachers, oriented to education on the development of artistic skills, nanotechnology and nanomaterials knowledge (workshop leaflets, explanatory videos etc.)
An open educational resource for teachers on science and scenic arts (workshop leaflets, explanatory videos etc.)
An open educational web platform.
A user handbook to support the use of the open educational web platform.
