e-Sisifos consists in the creation of an interactive web portal, as a means to promote and disseminate the popular culture of Corinthia. The dynamic – specificity of the portal consists in the possibility of combining methods for collecting and recording relevant archival material.
The e-Sisifos team approached us with the idea of creating a digital educational platform (e-learning) aimed at and fed by the educational community. We were able to develop an integrated solution that provides teaching scenarios for training teachers and students, using engaging tools for recording, knowledge and assessment. Teachers are offered training modules for the management of digital resources in the context of learning in abundance and indicative teaching scenarios fully adapted to the current needs of distance learning.
e-Sisifos project: Digital Chronology of Corinthian Folklore, contributed to the creation of a new interactive portal where users (cultural institutions, experts in the field, amateur folklore enthusiasts, etc.) will upload archival material in digital form through crowdsourcing techniques with a folkloristic focus. With a design and aesthetics based on the promotion of Corinthia’s culture over time, the application we created aims to maximise the use of the user’s information related to the search of cultural associations, museums, events and archaeological sites of the region.
It is a versatile project that includes a web portal and an application that is easy to use, but also very easy to manage and enrich with data. The application is dynamically connected to the portal’s central database in real time, so it always displays up-to-date and accurate information. It also takes advantage of the capabilities of smartphones (GPS) by suggesting nearby routes to users and providing directions to the cultural association, museum or archaeological site they wish to visit.
